Lazy Susan: Sabai Run Club × KODANGS and a Saturday in Song Wat

It has been two years since Sabai Run Club last teamed up with a local Thai fashion label. This time, they wanted to do something a little different. 🌏🫶

Meet Lazy Susan, an extremely limited collection by Sabai Run Club × KODANGS, and the evening we are throwing to celebrate it: the Lazy Susan Hangout! on Saturday 26 September 2026 at the KODANGS Song Wat Flagship Store.

No race. No pace chart. Just a Saturday in Song Wat with tea, music, clothes, conversation and a lot of good people.

Who Is Sabai Run Club?

Sabai Run Club calls itself "Bangkok's laziest run club."

"We're not athletes, and we're definitely not marathon runners." Sabai is a relaxed, enthusiastic bunch of people who jog slowly on weekend mornings and then stay for coffee and conversation. For them, connection comes first and pace comes second.

Over the years, they have hosted events where nobody even runs. People just hang out for an evening. It has been ten months since the last one, so the club decided it was time to do it again, and to do it on one of the most iconic streets in Bangkok.

Why Sabai × KODANGS?

This collaboration did not start with a product. It started with a friendship.

The Sabai crew kept running into KODANGS around Bangkok, at Nip Café and at Commons Thonglor. The two teams met over a year ago, and most of those early conversations were not about clothing at all. We kept hanging out. We kept coming back.

Somewhere along the way, the overlap became obvious. Running meets streetwear. Community meets culture. Both brands grew through people, not campaigns.

"The best collaborations don't start with a product. They start with a relationship."

Why "Lazy Susan"?

Song Wat is a street of Chinese-Thai heritage, old shophouses, tea and long meals shared around a table. That is where the name came from.

A lazy Susan is the turning tray at the centre of a round Chinese dining table. Nobody sits at the head of it. Everything moves around, and everyone shares. It felt like the perfect picture of what Sabai and KODANGS are about.

"Everyone gets a turn at the table."

Song Wat Is the Setting, Not the Story

Streets. Shophouses. Tea. Old signage. Side streets. Sitting outside.

We did not want to lecture anyone about the neighbourhood. The cultural details are there to be discovered, the same way you notice something new on a street you have walked past a hundred times. We just let it breathe.

The Collection: Not Running Clothes

Lazy Susan is an extremely limited capsule, designed together over more than a year of conversations, samples, disagreements and a lot of laughing.

It is not a running kit. It is made for after the run: coffee, walking around Bangkok, travelling, or just a normal Saturday. The goal was to balance Sabai's playful identity with KODANGS' understated streetwear aesthetic, and to make pieces you keep wearing long after the run is over.

👕 The Slow & Lazy Long Sleeve Tee

A clean white long sleeve tee in comfortable cotton, with a relaxed everyday fit.

On the front, a small row of running chillies sits across the chest, and a globe is printed on the pocket with a "SLOW & LAZY" label underneath. Turn around and the back tells the full story: the chilli crew running around the globe, with "Slow & Lazy · Bangkok's slowest and laziest" in true Sabai spirit.

🩳 The Sabai Shorts

The hero bottom of the collection. A grey ripstop short with a black drawcord, three embroidered chillies on the leg and a woven Sabai Run Club × KODANGS tab on the side seam.

Turn it around and you will find a black mesh panel across the back for airflow, with a small waistband pocket for your keys and cards. Light enough for a slow Sunday jog, clean enough for coffee right after.

🩳 The Everyday Shorts

Lightweight shorts built for real life, with an elastic waistband, deep pockets and a woven KODANGS tab on the hem.

They come in a range of easy colours, from soft lilac and sage green to bright green, dusty blue and brown, so they pair with the tee or with whatever is already in your wardrobe.

🌶️ The Details

  • Chilli: Sabai's running chillies, a little bit spicy and not too serious
  • Globe: a nod to a community of people from all over the world, running together in Bangkok
  • Typography: playful, but kept clean
  • Cotton & fit: comfortable enough for the whole day
  • Pockets: deep enough for your phone, keys and coffee money

And for the first time in two years, you will be able to get Sabai pieces in a shop.

Lazy Susan Hangout! What to Expect

An evening built around one table, one store, and the street outside it. Our store is intentionally small, so we designed Lazy Susan as an evening to hang out in, not a queue to stand in. Smaller groups. Bigger moment.

🥢 The Lazy Susan Roundtable

The centrepiece of the night: a big round Chinese table set with tea, snacks and the collection itself. Everything gets passed around, and nothing belongs to anyone. Pour some tea, turn the table, and start talking.

See You Around the Table

Sabai Run Club x KODANGS crew running in Song Wat

We did not want this to feel like a clothing launch. We wanted it to feel like a day in Song Wat that you happen to remember. A cup of tea. A few friends. A new piece of clothing. A street you have walked past a hundred times.

The collection is the product. The experience is the story.

Pieces are extremely limited, so make sure you don't miss out. Come hungry, come curious, and come ready to meet someone new.

See you around the table. 🥢
