KODANGS POP-UP at O FOR OTHERS, Malaysia — Bringing the Spirit of Songwat to Kuala Lump
KODANGS POP-UP Malaysia 2026 has officially happened.
From 18–20 September 2026, KODANGS travelled beyond Bangkok to host a special pop-up at O FOR OTHERS (OFO), REXKL, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
For this special occasion, we brought the atmosphere, stories, and distinctive spirit of KODANGS SONGWAT, our very first flagship store, to Kuala Lumpur — giving people in Malaysia a chance to discover who KODANGS is and what we are all about.
But this pop-up was never just about bringing our clothes to another country.
It was about bringing a little piece of Songwat to Kuala Lumpur, meeting new people, sharing stories, and creating new connections along the way.
So, what happened at the KODANGS POP-UP in Malaysia? Let’s take a look.
Where Was the KODANGS POP-UP in Malaysia?
The KODANGS POP-UP took place at O FOR OTHERS (OFO), REXKL, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 18–20 September 2026.
For us, OFO was a natural space for KODANGS to meet the people of Kuala Lumpur. Its creative atmosphere gave us the opportunity to introduce the brand in a way that felt open, casual, and interactive.
Rather than simply presenting our collections, we wanted visitors to experience different parts of what makes KODANGS, KODANGS.
Why Did KODANGS Bring Songwat to Malaysia?
KODANGS SONGWAT is our first flagship store and one of the places that represents the character of KODANGS most clearly.
Songwat is more than just the location of our store. It is part of our story — shaped by the neighbourhood, its people, its culture, and all the little details that make the area feel uniquely itself.
So when we decided to travel to Malaysia, we wanted to bring more than just our products.
We wanted to bring a little bit of KODANGS SONGWAT with us.
In other words, we didn't simply want to bring KODANGS to Malaysia.
We wanted to let Songwat meet Kuala Lumpur.
4 Things That Happened at KODANGS POP-UP Malaysia 2026
1. The First Reveal of Our New Active Wear Collection

One of the biggest highlights of the KODANGS POP-UP Malaysia was the introduction of our new Active Wear Collection and Bug Bag exclusive color.
At the time of the pop-up, the collection had not yet been available anywhere else, making Malaysia the first place where people could discover and shop the collection.
Bringing a new collection to a new city was also an opportunity for us to see how KODANGS could be interpreted in a different environment.
We believe clothes don't have to come with just one way of wearing them.
Everyone has their own way of styling, mixing, and making a piece their own.
And that is exactly what we wanted to explore with the Active Wear Collection.
2. Fortune Stick — A Little Piece of Songwat in Kuala Lumpur

Another special part of the pop-up was our Fortune Stick activity.
Inspired by the traditional Thai fortune-stick experience and the fortunes found at KODANGS SONGWAT, we brought the concept to Malaysia and turned it into a fun interactive experience for visitors.
Guests could pick a Fortune Stick, discover their fortune, and have the chance to win special prizes from KODANGS.
For us, Fortune Stick was more than just a fun activity.
It was a small way of introducing a familiar part of Thai culture to people in Kuala Lumpur — while giving everyone a chance to interact with the KODANGS world in a playful and unexpected way.
It was also interesting to see how something rooted in Thai culture could travel to another country and become a new conversation between people.
Sometimes, culture doesn't need a big explanation.
Sometimes, you just need a little curiosity.
3. PIROM x KODANGS — Introducing “YADOM” to Malaysia

This time, KODANGS also teamed up with PIROM (@pirom.global), who joined us as part of the pop-up experience.
Together, we introduced one of the everyday objects that many people in Thailand know very well: “YADOM” — the Thai inhaler.
It may be a small object, but Ya Dom has become a surprisingly recognizable part of everyday Thai lifestyle.
By bringing PIROM along with us, we wanted to introduce a small but meaningful part of contemporary Thai culture to our Malaysian visitors.
Because sometimes, getting to know a country doesn't have to start with its biggest landmarks.
Sometimes, it can start with something as simple as a little Thai inhaler.
4. Meeting the KODANGS Team
And, of course, one of the most important parts of any KODANGS POP-UP is the people.
Throughout the three-day event, the KODANGS team had the chance to meet, talk, and connect with everyone who stopped by.
For us, these conversations are just as meaningful as the clothes themselves.
Every pop-up gives us the opportunity to hear different perspectives, meet people who may have never encountered KODANGS before, and understand how the brand is seen from a different place.
That is what makes travelling to another city so special.
It becomes more than a temporary store.
It becomes a space for conversation, connection, and discovery.
Where Will KODANGS Go Next?
After Malaysia, one question naturally comes to mind:
Where will the next KODANGS POP-UP be?
We're keeping that one a secret for now. 👀
But if you missed us in Kuala Lumpur, don't worry. This journey isn't over yet. From Songwat to Kuala Lumpur, and from Kuala Lumpur...
Where will we meet next?
Keep following KODANGS and stay close. We might just be coming to a city near you soon.
See you somewhere soon. 👀🙌🏻💙
